"Brilacidin is a threat to BP."

It's certainly true that brilacidin significantly elevates the blood pressure (BP) in some doses that have been tested.

Hence the exclusion criteria in recent studies concerning high blood pressure.

However for the minority of the at-risk population of over 65s who do not have elevated BP, brilacidin may prove to be of some utility. Or not, as the study will establish.
