Dubai-Guy pledged $4.8B to BTC. GAME-CHANGER-STORY. MORE-TO-IT. This looks like THE biggest Bitcoin story-to-date.

Digesting this in its entirety is a GAME-CHANGER IMO in the making for Bitcoin. And not just for the initial commitment of the largest recorded Bitcoin buy pledged of $4.5 Billion that will dwarf Elon Musk’s $1.5 billion.

On the surface, this looks like another wealthy Dubai-guy from one of the richest cities in the world is investing in MORE Bitcoin and working with the Miami mayor. Good news for sure, but there's more to digest around this story...

This is what I get from two articles involving the rich-guy, the elephant in the room, the Dubai IBC Group Chairman Khurram Shroff who currently owns an estimated "ONE MILLION BITCOINS".

#1 – The Dubai-guy is the IBC Group Chairman Khurram Shroff. According to a report by Gulf News, the Dubai-based Chairman, holds an estimated one million BTC!
https://gulfnews.com/business/company-releases/cryptocurrencies-will-replace-bullion-one-day-says-ibc-chairman-khurram-shroff-1.1608706118890

#2 - The pledged Bitcoin purchase by Shroff will be the largest investment of its kind in the world.

#3 - Shroff is planning to buy up roughly a quarter of the entire Bitcoin currency worth $17 billion.

#4 - Last December “Shroff called transparency the cornerstone of blockchain and applauded the United Arab Emirates’s (UAE) commitment to transitioning 50% of its transactions to blockchain by next year”. Since that was printed in December 2021, that means that is happening this year in 2021!!!.

He also says “crypto will replace bullion in the future”
https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2020/12/ibc-chairman-khurram-shroff-predicts-crypto-replacing-bullion/

#5 - Shroff is making the investment as part of his Miami Blockchain initiative. If successful, he hopes both Miami and Dubai can be two of the first cities in the world to be run by Blockchain, an amazingly safe form of computer transaction.

#6 - #4 and #5 sets precedence as a proof-of-concept and another avenue of adoption by cities known all over the world.

The current Bitcoin adoption growth is vastly by companies, institutions and retail. This is “CITY GOVERNMENT”, that could break Bitcoin adoption wide-open.

How many cities are there in the US? How many on the planet? How much money moves through these cities? Will the states and feds follow the city’s lead. BTC is a global coin!
The potential adoption and Bitcoin price point is immense yet again and mind-boggling!
IMO, Shroff is to City and potentially other government entities around the world adoption as Michael Saylor is to Institutional investors and some retail.

A Dubai businessman is pledging to buy 100,000 Bitcoin worth up to $4.8 billion as part of a new company strategy.
To put that into perspective, it’s the largest investment of its kind in the world. And he’s planning to buy up roughly a quarter of the entire Bitcoin currency worth $17 billion.
