Anyone with an iota of intelligence and common sense could see that at the time.

Anyone with an iota of intelligence or common sense would have had a post invasion plan.

The generals themselves said it would take at LEAST 250,000 troops to police Iraq post invasion.
Schwarzkopf warned it would be a quagmire.

Anyone with a modicum of intelligence could see how it would turn out before the invasion.
And were therefore against it.
