No one knows the real # of OS shares because this company was so inactive for so long that many portfolios probably wrote off, zero’d out their holdings, for tax write offs. It’s really hard to tell real number of outstanding shares until there is new management and a new audit.

Here’s what I think is happening: I think a larger company or group are trying to gain control of Hunt Gold. Right now, they’re trying to acquire as many stocks as possible under the radar, which is the massive volume we’ve seen, before making a public announcement, because once they make a public announcement, the stock for this will skyrocket.

It’s also worth noting that the outstanding shares for this company might not be accurate. This company has been so inactive for so long that many portfolios probably wrote off, zero’d out, their holdings of HGLC for tax write offs. What the real number of outstanding shares is we probably won’t know until there is new management and a new audit.

As I’ve said repeatedly, small mining companies were inactive for a decade because of the low price of gold and silver. But with the recent increases in prices and the shortages of gold and silver bullion, this is changing. Small mining companies are coming back to life. I think the long-term value of Hunt Gold is $2 - $3 a share, but it might take a year to get there.
