My initial thoughts (due to my IT background) is that algorithms are selling, and programs/software don't say (or think) anything. They just DO as the flawed human, programmed them to action on. Mostly to make small gains on specific triggers to further bring in cash on a calculated weight (ask/bid/volume, etc.).

I only assume this (that high freq trading occurs with OTC & pennies) due to my extreeeemely green entry into stocks as of the last couple months.

FYI; Love the discussions here, following now for a few weeeks. My portfolio position is 50% of it in HCMC right now, as a tiny share count of 100k, but happy to join the fam here to start my great adventure!
