Caasandra..what you fail to recognize is the way the auto industry works. They want to sell cars. That is MY business. I know. Cars are usually stocked with lower end audio equipment to keep the cost down and after-market are the FINER units. What has happened in the last several years with technology is unprecedented. Vehicles are being offered with DVD and Navigational units costing $2000.00 more. This is from the FACTORY. Guess what? People are buying them..by the carloads (pun intended). It is NOT out of the question that Toyota or Honda, for that matter, would FACTORY install a new technological system that they believe people would want and sell more vehicles.
Why the delay with Fujitsu Ten? What additions did they have edig make to the original mp3 changer? I did notice somewhere in time that edig started referring to their product as infotainment. Perhaps one day we will see a Digeplayer like device mounted in vehicles that no longer requires the dvd's that have fallen under the seats. Perhaps one day we will see a vehicle outfitted with such a device that downloads wirelessly from the driveway.
By the way...There is a reason that Toyota outfits their "showcars" with Eclipse. Perhaps you don't recall that Eclipse won an award at CES this year for the edig system...perhaps you do and as always..ignoring the importance.
