To let people arbitrarily only sell, only buy, or neither, despite the fact that orders were previously accepted, is not only patronizing, it‘s flat-out market manipulation. If a brokerage firm decides, to ban certain types of securities, such as no longer take buy orders for Caveat Emptor, I suppose, that‘s exercising legitimate discretionary powers. But what‘s happening here, is entirely different. Luckily, it hasn’t happened to me yet, but it‘s outrageous that it‘s happening at all.
