I accept that my FDA timeline might be too optimistic and my pessimism on SMI might be too bearish. I have given both a LOT of thought though.

I would reduce my pessimism about SMI if/when any of this happens:

* they give Gene that $500k in May
* they publish or reveal facts about their clinical trial

My FDA timeline is based on the idea that the submission will be an amended PMA, not a new PMA. However there's no proof that the US clinicals have even started, let alone completed.

I don't know if anyone else is following the story about redditors and GME/AMC but I'm fascinated by this story. I spent hours reading that subreddit and those people are gamblers who revel in "loss porn" when they lose big -- and that's basically all the time -- but they got lucky with GME options, creating an alpha squeeze while the hedge fund managers slept. However, now everything is out in the open and when they start getting margin calls their positions are going to go up in a puff of smoke. I'm predicting Wednesday. Maybe even today, since options expired last Friday -- they might be getting monster margin calls TODAY.
