I agree completely that everyone is entitled to their opinion. My opinion is just that, not a certainty. I see and understand what happened with Gamestop. Your take is several companies weren't able to deliver services. I see it as several companies CHOSE to limit services of free trading. In my opinion, they did this as a response to pressure from the hedge funds. I see that as corrupt. Like yourself, I also have an impressive resume and I know a fraud/corruption when I see it. I don't make excuses for these companies and don't believe in coincidence (it's rare). So in your opinion why could these companies all of sudden not deliver services on this one stock in that day? Why did they only limit buys? You may have some complex answer to that and perhaps its true. My simple opinion is that it was fraud or corruption, which is why there are lawsuits now. The big boys don't like to lose money or get beat at their own game. They use their power and influence to tilt things in their favor.
I deal in facts and analyze the facts, without emotion. People tend to confuse some of the facts. Although, WDDD has many wins at CAFC and PTAB under their belt none of those are a specific ruling on the Alice 101 question. That is what we are waiting for. You obviously have a large position here. That's great as you are confident in the outcome. I also have a large position. However, I question why the 101 has taken so long. It is a reasonable question under the circumstances. I merely point out my opinion as to why there is such a delay. Hardly patting myself on the back or requiring a reality check. One would be foolish not to question it.
Other posters on here have discussed settlements by bungie and all sorts of ideas. It wasn't popular what I said but it is my opinion there would be no settlement until a favorable 101 decision. I went round and round with people for months on this. It's a simple concept, but people don't want to hear it. I wish they were correct and there was a settlement but there hasn't been one. Many people seem to rely on that poster who seems to be a bright and nice guy. However, he was off the mark and I let the board know that. People can do what they want with the information. Its a discussion and maybe we all arrive at a better more informed conclusion. Last week he launched into conspiracy theories as to why a different judge was asked to handle Discovery. That tells me he lacks an understanding of how the Court system works. Magistrate Judges routinely handle matters of Discovery for District Court Judges. They provide assistance to a District Court Judge so as not to waste their time. I simply point these things out as it seems to me that most people on here believe the 101 is a done deal. It's not. Some in here seem like they are betting the farm because it's such a sure thing. If it doesn't pass the 101 your life or mine won't skip a beat. I am a long here for many years and just raising concerns as I see them. People think I am trying to bash the stock or lower the price. None of that is true. I am hoping for a favorable ruling like everyone else.
