Number killed on 9/11 - just less than 3,000

Number of US troops killed - more than 3,000 and counting.

Number of Iraqi civilians killed circa 600,000

Number of US road deaths - 40,000 p.a.

Profits boost to bushbackers.
Includes additional defense contracts, higher oil price, Iraqi construction contracts, additional Homeland Defense spending, higher oil exploration investments, anti-anthrax vaccines etc.
I.E. all direct and indirect differences to profits compared to what would have occurred if the US had not invaded Iraq in 2003 and had not created a climate of fear at home.

Conservative estimate $600bn

Profit per US casualty $600bn / 6,000 = $100m per US head.
Heck those grunts sure weren't worth that much alive.

I believe I have a pretty good idea of what sort of war the US is fighting.

The above probably discounts another large factor.
Would the Fed rate now be at 5.25% without the increased government spending on the war?
I doubt it.

If the Fed rate would otherwise have been 1% lower - additional profit to the owners of the Fed - $86bn.
Nice play by the bankers.

Ian
