A French computer programmer, 35, allegedly transfered more than $500,000 in Bitcoin to far-right activists on December 8
Some of the groups that received the donations took part in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6
The transactions were discovered by Chainalysis, who in a report revealed that far-right internet influencer Nick Fuentes received half the transactions
Fuentes was at the earlier rally but claimed he was not part of the riot
The report adds the programmer posted what appears to be a suicide note on his personal blog the day after the transactions
He wrote he wanted to leave his wealth to 'certain causes and people' as he lamented 'unprecedented civil liberties violations' caused by COVID-19 and BLM
It comes as federal investigators explore possible 'coordination or planning' ahead of the riot and examine financial transactions and cellphone records
