migo, Agreed. That is the point of the article/book. Many of these far right "religious" leaders are really just using Christianity as a tool, just as a jihadist or Al Qaeda uses religion to further their "political" agenda. They cast away the true teachings and tenets of the religion... it is nothing more than a tool, a mechanism to further their agenda of hate and power.

They practice the "Politics of Fear", and I believe it is shameful.
