As I said previously, a FOIA request, on the surface, is not a major story or anything that one should get excited over. But, the actual FOIA response letter (Request # 20-01957) tied to Ma-Weaver has really generated a lot of feedback and discussions on how the letter may have been distributed and posted for the public to see.


I’d love to hear back from anyone with a legal background or familiar with the laws around discovery...


My question... Is it grounds for a subpoena and discovery into the identities of those involved, if a redacted document (such as the FOIA response letter) is knowingly used to misrepresent the facts about the content of said document and then provide an alternative “suggestion” or theory for the purpose of creating fear, uncertainty, and doubt in the eyes of the reader?
