yes, that makes perfect sense. It's just a short squeeze. That's why over 140M shares traded yesterday when the short position is 70M. Shorts definitely covered yesterday. That's why the borrow rate increased even further today.

Borrowing rate means nothing... It can be increased or lowered at anytime for pretty much any reason.

The extremely high share volume (more than double all outstanding shares) gives credence to a short squeeze driven by traders, as long only institutional investors wouldn't be trading the stock multiple times in a day. They may have sold, they have bought but they ain't doing both in a day.

What we also know is GME didn't create intrinsic value to warrant yesterday's share price gains and thus, this is a speculative driven, short squeeze.
