After watching their actions during this election turmoil, and for several years before going back to the ACA debacle, it seems that SCOTUS acts more politically than by rule of law. Saying the word "nationalism" during the orals is COMPLETELY different than actually ruling as such. I am hopeful that they do as you say, but I am becoming more convinced that they will remand back to lower court.
