Going back to a question about earlier this week about the possible pricing for a RDGL treatment. Someone mentioned Sirtex Sir-Sphere as a comparison, so I contacted my Nuclear Medicine pharmacist friend for some information.
Sirtex charges a hospital $17,000 for one treatment. Of course, the hospital then bumps that price. But how much? Well, based on a study from Europe, the hospitals there average $14,000 on top of the $17,000. Hospitals here in the US would definitely would charge more than the Euro average, but each one would set their own price. Hope this helps our number crunchers here on the board figure value.
