What is Digibyte?

So digibyte is a blockchain that began development in 2013 originally by Jared Tate. It boasts that is is faster than bitcoin, able to create a new block every 15 seconds. And, it has never had an ICO (initial coin offering) and is completely decentralized and volunteer run. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/digibyte/

What is the connection between Digibyte and HUMBL?
In 2019 Brian Foote/Block 30 Labs spoke at Digibyte’s 1st annual Digibyte BlockChain Summit. (See 

about 1:35) This is where they introduced the whole idea behind what is now known as HUMBL. In that talk they spoke about how the BLOCKs, an investment token, is built on the digibyte blockhain. This has the indirect effect of bringing value to digibyte as a use case. Based on the HUMBL December 9th conference call, this will not be one of the first parts to be released. I suspect they are pending appropriate regulatory permissions, which may or may not be granted. Anyone’s guess for now.

Until that time when/if that is releases, I’m assuming digibyte will be one of the blockchains available to pay with when the HUMBLpay app is up and running, along with bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum, stable coins probably. It is unclear if they will be creating their own stable coins for currencies at this time, or using ones that are already available? Does anyone know?

One final interesting connection is that Adam Wolfe, the Chief Technology Officer, of HUMBl is the creator of the site/app DigiCafe /Digitide: https://www.digibytepay.us/. https://digitide.us/: https://twitter.com/GetDigiCafe . Anyway, I again state my assumption that this is probably the company that HUMBL will be merging with, simply because it has all of the underlying technology that HUMBL needs anyway and all of the people are already connected. The best way to see what parts of the HUMBL app might act like is probably to explore the suite of apps available through digibyte.
