Good Morning, BnB

I understand your point, even though I don't agree with it.

Political attitudes are complex. There are so many conflicting aspects that many people fall back on an assertion I haven't heard in years, but which still provides strong political motivation ... "My party, right or wrong!"

In the recent election, New Jersey's candidates for U. S. Senator were

1) a Republican whose only claim to fame was that his father used to be the governor. He supported the president and his policies.

2) a Democrat who is believed to have defrauded the government and is under investigation. He was the incumbent because the governor appointed him to fill the vacancy the governor left in the Senate.

The Democrat won, but I don't think you can draw any conclusions about the voters from that. Being forced to accept one tainted individual in order to reject another is only evidence of a very sick system.

New Jersey has good people. Many are more competent and have greater integrity than the trash we had to vote for to represent us in the U. S. Senate.

It is an outrage that we are forced to accept such people as our representatives. It is easy to denigrate the voters. It takes greater perception to see that the heart of the problem is deeper and more perverse than that.
