Ok, i've been reminded Trump had called for bigger checks earlier, as Pelosi was doing ..

What i don't understand is if both parties were ok with a repeat of the $1,200 (see above) check, then why did it end up at $600?

Must have something to do with who is eligible for the checks. Maybe they ended with more individuals getting $600 than fewer getting $1,200.
