I'm above 70, diabetic, increasingly overweight in part due to covid, have COPD, take a statin and I AM RETIRED. I do self isolate as I'm aware of my increased risk of death should I get the virus.
As long as I don't change my behaviour, I think Fedex, UPS and other delivery workers are more essential to the economy functioning and are a greater risk of getting and spreading the virus. I'll take the vaccine when it's offered, but I think the priority should be given to saving lives by curtailing the spread rather than giving me a shot first and certainly ahead of those in LTC and probably immobile.. Vaccinate those that provide the service to LTC patients ahead of the LTC patients themselves. I.e. More deaths would be prevented per vaccine that way, then rushing to give a shot to someone who's low risk for spreading covid.
