Let's be careful with what we are comparing. It is difficult to locate breakdowns online of where all that federally collected money goes and, just as importantly, to what.

New Mexico, solidly Democratic for years, has two major national labs, 10 military bases, and a population that is almost 11% Native American.

No worries, though, if we only give NM its "share" based on tax money collected. I'm thinking Ted Turner will be happy to take some of the soon-to-be vacated property - at a bargain price, of course.

And even better, those dang LANL epidemiologists with their freakishly accurate predictions regarding COVID won't be telling us just how bad it's going to get come the next pandemic.

Nobody listened to them this time anyway.
