jawmoke, i used to work in the credit card industry. fee income is a gold mine for them as well as other parts of the banking industry. i actually liked corporate america early on and still believe they are a necessary part for a prosperous economy, but they have become severely corrupted. some ceo just got a 500 million $ golden parachute... unbelievable and out of control...ceo's and higher ups get compensated and taken care of very well regardless if they are succesful. if a worker bee get fired, they cant even get unemployment... the divisions being created in our society are being fueled by these inequities. the american industrial dynamo is history though as wage growth has left us unable to be competitive. unions have their corruption to deal with too and are no angels either. this is why american industry is being farmed out to developing countries, as america was once, a developing country. baby boomers need to get real protective of our economy as our future is being screwed with big time. with all the new technologies out there, especially in the medical field, it would be real beneficial for the elites to do away with as many boomers as possible as we will be a drain on the economy. an economy we built so the elites could take it back and sell it out from under us. i keep hearing talk of worldwide de-population goals to not only reduce the govt payrolls for retirement social security benefits, but to also reduce the drain on the envirnoment in terms of resources. every new family will need a home, washing machine, stove, carpet, and all the other things that require deeper depletion of natura/man made resources to build them. the world population is getting to big and less people will also allow for the peak oil scenario to be put off by a few more decades. peak oil will be a major lifestyle change to the world if clean alternatives arent put into place real soon...the future will not roll along as easily as the last 100 years. the recycling industry is in its infancy and needs to find cheaper ways of recycling old products..this will help alleviate the need to further decimate the planet looking for new sources of raw materials.
