I agree with you...properly identifying yourself is necessary as there are many who live to decieve and we all pay for their thefts...those mechanisms exists to identify ourselves at this time. my concern is more about the loss of freedoms that a chipped card might provide. the city i live in is being wired for free wireless internet but there is also a belief those little robots that are mounted on the telephone poles will have other monitoring capabilities,,,, to orewellian for me... there is a certain amount of anonymous behaviour i want to enjoy...id like to go to a restaraunt and not realize that im being tracked by my chipped card for every movement i make...
