I work in an insurance agency and in order to get insurance people have to give driver's license info AND social security numbers now.

I used to carry my SS card in my wallet and realized how dangerous that can be. I know my number (as well as my husband's and 2 son's numbers) so there is no need to give away my entire identity if my wallet is lost or stolen.
