Airys, with all due respect, they are guilty based on results. If they are innocent in the eyes of the law, which I honestly don't believe at this point, they are guilty of poorly running the company. Either way the result for us is the same, we lost money. Ignorance is no excuse. They assumed a position of responsibility, and agreed to execute that position in a responsible manner. They have not done that, whether it was through criminal intent, or through plain stupidity. It doesn't matter, there is no valid excuse.
My personal belief at this point is that there WAS criminal intent. They hid the fact, or tried to, that the company was selling shares by transfering them to nominee accounts for the sales. I have seen pictures, and you have been there yourself, did you see anything that looked to be worth 12 million dollars??? I saw some older buildings, a muddy parking lot, nothing that couldn't be purchased for less than a million in most areas of THIS country. From what I understand the Windsor area isn't all that booming and property values should be quite reasonable. We were lead to believe that the company has been profitable for at least the last few years. Why all the debt??? I mean, some debt is normal. But those buildings and land has likely been paid off for years. Am I wrong in this assessment? You've been there and can answer that better than I. The picture just doesn't make sense to me.
