Good post. Thought of saying something similar, but then since i figured he had more experience than me
in the game to leave it to someone with a better story than mine. Was glad at least to see someone say it.

This not sage advice, still was the right thing to say to her at the time as she had had dropped to a new low, for her. And, well, Frank is Frank.

This when Frank was told.

I don't know if you know Shameless. It's good relief as very funny in lots of places, and actually later on particularly has some solid - real - relationship stuff.

My father lost most all he had when he sold a scam stock short at the wrong time, in a much of a scam Canadian mining boom. Guessing around 1960. It boomed, then plunged at the end. Single dollars to over three hundred i think at top, then CRASH!

He kept borrowing until they said no more. He finally was put on a salary by the bank for the rest of his working life, so they could recoup some of their money.

Was in obstetrics and gynecology, loved gambling. He played craps with other doctors in the platform of one of the stairways of the hospital he did most of his work in.

It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
