Thanks Koog & Alan81. To summarize:

Koog has reservations about Intel leadership and if they can manage yet another inflection point.

Alan81 seems to have mixed feelings - that Intel has some good futuristic technologies in AI, self-driving cars, and quantum computing - but who knows how much they will take off and when. Further, Alan81 seems to feel that Intel has some underlying strengths that may help overcome the process difficulties it is facing now.

So all in all, neither seem to have anything resembling a strong endorsement.

I do have a part of my portfolio invested in Intel for the past several years. The dividends are a solace. But Intel has clearly fallen out of favor for most investors - and a huge majority of stocks have left Intel by the wayside in terms of appreciation.

So I am definitely going to adopt a wait-and-watch approach in terms of putting any new money into Intel.
