With all respect to gfp, and I mean that sincerely- the part of Cortex where the situation feels just awful but represents an unbelievable investment opportunity is the proof of principle that CX-717 ACCOMPLISHED with the first phase of DARPA, the ADHD trial, all the Lilly pre-clinical ( mindblowing!) data, the Cortex high impact work(mindblowing!)This company is a mini-micro-cap, more money goes into Google in 5 minutes than Cortex is worth, but the AMPA technology may change neuroscience. And did anyone say big pharma is in need of new drugs in ways it never has , to survive!.The stock market is being pumped by something like 13%YOY M3 growth, huge deficit spending and the last vestiges of real estate finance bubble ( 1% fed funds?) and central banks worldwide supporting the US fiscal disaster by printing money to pay our bills, Goldman Sachs and others jamming trillions in derivatives around to line their pockets. It's priced for this and can it all keep up on the US consumer's back..do we really need more restaurants, retail concepts, strip malls, casinos, corporate office buildings ect...that is what represents growth nowadays. It's far riskier than anyone thinks that watch's Cramer every night.I agree with gfp about the risk in biotech investing....no questions asked but the risks in this market are far higher than anyone ever talks about-because it's all on the backs of an economy which is being credit driven and has been for sometime.
