Like your questions and have time to spare. Let's go …
GAMBLE vs INVESTMENT
For me a GAMBLE is like playing roulette … you buy a stock you do not really know anything about but want to see based on what you feel.
RISKY INVESTMENT is like playing poker. If you know something but not that much about the stock but want to 'see' base on minimal information initially. You then accept to gradually 'add to your bet' or 'pull out and take a loss' based on the additional acquired knowledge (card) along the way.
MY HISTORY WITH IPOT (Had fun reviewing it to answer your question) … LOL
I initially bought in IPOT on Nov 19 2019 (1225 shares at $ 0.41 CDN). After gradually adding few thousands shares at more or les $ 0.35, I later start Gambling by 'Trading' shares at between )$ 0,63 and $ 0,33, between Dec. 27 and Jan 30 ending the process with no shares but few thousand $$$ profit.
I then (Feb 20) started the process all over again and, learning more about the operation along the way (PR,NR,cannabis markets, personal calls to the company, …), I gradually accumulated 65,000 shares ending the process with my current net cost of $ 0.297 (CDN).
LOOKING AHEAD
1- I still am confident that there is something interesting behind this stock (naively or not, my last call to the company was somewhat reassuring)
2- I can understand that the COVID crisis could have effectively delayed both some government key processes and company's planning.
3- At current PPS, the upward potential is more attractive to me than the downward risk may be for me at my current cost.
I cannot say for how long I plan to stay 'at the table' but:
-If the PPS drops rapidly with volume I may reduce my risk by selling all or part of my shares (I recently did reading quite a negative info. I bought back in thereafter having done my own research.
-If PPS stays where it is I may wait till the darn COVID thing starts stopping being an excuse or reason.
-If the company issues some kind of news (corporate update type of NR)I shall remain patient for the first half of next year.
-I finally plan to take a decision relative to this 'risky investment' by next summe. My then PERCIEVED RISK FACTOR will be the critical factor behind whatever it is I decide to do or not.
-Finally, the legal cannabis industry is in it's infancy, the European markets are relatively under developed and Israël climate is good for this type of production. That also justify somewhat my waiting.
-I remember the PPS was at $ 0.63 cents last Dec. 27. If we reach that PPS again, I shall sell half of my shares, riding the remaining FREE shares for as long as I can.
