Slide 18 is slide 15 with three changes: use only the wtS1, combine the two dosed cohorts into one, and use ANOVA with standard p-value.

The placebo cohort's confidence interval shrinks (not widens), and you are mistaking the colored bars as the "results". The results are the ends of the bars: 2.74 for dosed, 19.88 for placebo. Those are the means. Forget the bars, that's just color-fill.

This shows the potential signal for episodic memory. That signal is that 2-73 may be halting episodic memory decline for wtS1 cohort. Incidentally it is likely that there would be a similar result for the all cohort but with a p-val greater than .05.

If you want to understand the 95% confidence interval lines: note that the placebo cohort's top line ends below the dosed cohort's mean (is, bottom of the blue bar). This shows visually that p-val for this chart's results was below 5%.
