It has been time well spent
Yes, we are all impatient. We want to see it happen NOW. But, Niocorp has accomplished a lot in what might appear to be “idle time.” Jim’s comments remind us of that. We have had feasibility studies and revisions of them. We have had mine plans and revised mine plans. We decided to build an acid plant rather than ship acid in. These changes are very significant. Elimination of the railroad spur and the dewatering line to the Missouri in effect move the permitting process from DC to Nebraska. Next week’s election MIGHT mean major political changes on a national level. However, major changes at a state level are not likely. I do respect Jim’s opinion that both political parties will PROBABLY support this mine. However, at the state level there is no “probably” involved. We are in a situation where nearly all decisions impacting the mine will be at the state level. Certainly at the national level there are politicians that believe we can completely eliminate fossil fuels. One of them is a Senator from Hawaii. Some reporter should ask her how she intends to get back home to Hawaii without fossil fuels. As Jim noted, banning fossil fuels will shut down many industries. I am hopeful that a majority of elected representatives will be able to grasp this. And, I accept the fact that there will always be some that are incapable of grasping.
