Correct but an accounting firm has to adopt proper accounting reporting principals that could effect when transactions (income) are reported and how expenses are reported. They are timing issues and can greatly impact numbers reported.

The little information that I have heard alludes to the fact that the accounting firm did not follow proper accounting principles.
