It doesn't matter who opened the bank, the robbers didn't have to rob it at noon.

Pretty non-sensical. Reid opened the bank at noon to rob it successfully. Does it not stand to reason, that another group of bandits would not do the same, after Reid made it possible. What you are inferring is, it was alright for Reid to be a bandit, but not McConnell.
