Hahaha. I loved that show. Turkeys do fly though. They feed on the ground and roost in trees at night.

Was walking on a trail one time in South Carolina and steered off into the grass to watch a few deer. I got into a turkey's safe zone and it popped up out of the grass and flew up into a nearby tree.

I'm not sure who was more scared, me or the bird. I didn't know what the hell it was and I jumped out of my shoes as well....

After I calmed down I spotted it siting in the tree and realized it was a turkey. I had no idea that they flew either, until then.
