This obsequious notion that freedom Trumps masks (pun intended) is sophomoric by attitude and practice.

How people behave here varies considerably by location. Around here, people are good about it. They wear their masks, as in fact they have to if they want to get into stores. But elsewhere, it's often as you describe. Really stupid behavior.
