I have striven and I believe successfully to make this a board that welcomes all opinions from everyone. I am a firm believer in free speech and despise censorship. There have been some questions regarding what should and shouldn't be allowed to be posted here.
First, forget the "no politics". I had a disagreement with Ihub on that and was told there were politics on the board. Perhaps that was my fault for trying every which way to see a little economics in a post that seemed political so I wouldn't have to delete it. There is a very large grey are between politics and economics and both influence each other all the time.
Second, I must insist on respect for the right of all posters to have their beliefs and opinions. Consider this an absolute. No personal attacks on any individual poster will be tolerated and will be deleted. There are so many other things to disagree on-civilly. It's OK to disagree and leads to healthy debate which this country could use a lot more of.
Third, for those that like to vehemently disagree with anything posted by anyone.
Attack the message or if a 3rd party article attack the article or it's author.
All politicians and political parties are fair game.
News sources and journalists are fair game.
Public figures using their celebrity are fair game.
Any group expressing their agenda leaves themselves wide open.
These are a few of the major examples of things that come up but it is not limited to them as such.
I believe that it is clear enough. Attack the post but not the poster. Disagree with someone's opinions and beliefs but respect their right to have them.
