C-20. I like him. I think he has gotten us to Division I. I don’t think he is the man to advance us now though. We have gone from raising finance and promoting the science time, to PR and marketing time. That is simply not his forte’. He is scrappy, but I think it is long time for someone at this point who has navigated the approval waters and is very experienced in the process.
It is nothing personal. One other tell for me is his insistence on being the voice of CytoDyn. As someone who speaks another language, I would never be a front man for a company in that language. It is completely impractical and rife for mistakes. I have emailed him personally twice to implore him to get professional PR and Marketing onboard. I never heard back. As someone who has done a lot of national media and speaks publicly, I would grade him C- in that arena. It has definitely hurt our SP. I would keep him on the Advisory Board in some capacity, but his time as CEO is past. Again, nothing personal. The request for more pay without approval was a bridge too far for me. It speaks of being tone deaf - even if the drug is the end all, be all.
We are in a different ballgame now. We need a new coach.
