So this agent offered 'more benign' theories...' Why?

Trump refused to be interviewed and Mueller didn't subpoena him. Also the Mueller investigation decided not to look into Trump's finances, demand his tax returns, which certainly would have revealed whether there was or was not entanglement with Russia that has compromised Trump. Where ARE the f'ing tax returns and why are you OK with them not being revealed when every other presidential candidate and president has submitted them?

And, what ABOUT Trump's sister's book and Woodward's book(s), and all of the other books, that reveal Trump to be a sociopathic moron and inveterate liar?

This FBI agent is not going to save Trump who is going down in flames because he deserves to.

The interview summary itself is a series of contradictions. Though Barnett voices deep doubts about the motivations of some of his colleagues, he ultimately agreed that Flynn lied to the FBI. He also indicated that he believed the other investigations led by the Crossfire Hurricane team were meritorious, though he says he often offered more benign theories about actions taken by Trump and his team when other agents were inclined to view them in a more incriminating light.
