With love-to-be-dictator Trump determined to flout all tradition and institution which has made America great before he arrived it could get rough.
With his Machiavellian desire to become more of a Putin-like president it could get very rough.
"enough of this isolationist crap! We need the world and the world definitely needs us to speak softly and carry that stick.
But instead we have a lying sack of orange blubber who thinks taxing his own people through tariffs is somehow a show of force."

I don't know how long it will be before Australia would open it's doors to ordinary, decent Americans again.
Obviously Trump doesn't want you to leave. His lack of leadership in virus response means, i'd guess, it will be well over a year.
There would likely always be, as long as i'm here, a room in the most run-down old house in my area.
