IMO…my conclusions as of September 23, 2020 @ 1452 CST:

1) First of all, thank you to AzCowboy and Boarddork for bringing up the International Sercurities Identification Number (ISIN) issue up.

2) We have to convert CUSIP to ISIN numbers from pre-Chapter 11 emergence (i.e. 939322103, 939322830, 939322814), post-Chapter 11 emergence (i.e. 939ESC992 and 939ESC968)

3) None of the pre- or post-Chapter 11 emergence CUSIP numbers match up to the current WMIH Corp. ISIN numbers.

4) This is good news that none of them match up. Because if they did match up then the entities that invested post-Chapter 11 emergence (i.e. KKR, Citibank, etc.) would own WMI legacy assets such as WMI beneficial interests in bankruptcy remote MBS Trusts created by WMI subsidiaries.

5) IMO…simply put, Washington Mutual, Inc. (WMI) is a distinct entity from WMIH Corp./Mr. Cooper Group.

6) WMI and WMIIC were the ones in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The current securities with ISIN numbers in WMIH Corp. were the assets that were passed on to the reorganized Washington Mutual Bank (WMB) and old WMI assets.

Now here’s the important facts:

Bonderman et al. (TPG, Olympic Investment Partners, etc.) per docket #301 filed on November 17, 2008:

Bonderman et al. as of November 17, 2008 declared that they held redacted amounts of WMI:

1) Common Stock (WAMUQ)
2) Series R 7.75% (WAMPQ) = “Series R Convertible Preferred”
3) Series I Perpetual Non-Cumulative Fixed-to-Floating Rate Preferred = “Series I Preferred Stock”
4) Series J Perpetual Non-Cumulative Fixed Rate Preferred = “Series J Preferred Stock”
5) Series L Perpetual Non-Cumulative Fixed-to-Floating Rate Preferred = “Series L Preferred Stock”
6) Series M Perpetual Non-Cumulative Fixed-to-Floating Rate Preferred = “Series M Preferred Stock”
7) Series N Perpetual Non-Cumulative Fixed-to-Floating Rate Preferred = “Series N Preferred Stock”

None of the CUSIP converted to ISIN numbers (which are currently in WMIH Corp.) match the above Bonderman et al. holdings declared on November 17, 2008 (Series R, Series I, Series J, Series L, Series M, Series N, and Common Stock of WMI).

IMO…Thus it means that some other entity holds the above mentioned Bonderman et al. positions with corresponding CUSIPs /converted ISIN numbers. I contend that Washington Mutual, Inc. (WMI) is still alive and holds those above mentioned CUSIPs/converted ISINs that Bonderman et al. held and eventually released prior to Chapter 11 emergence (March 23, 2012
