And as someone else pointed out, the company cannot be held liable for anything they tell shareholders in person, unless they somehow "attest" to it as corporate officers.

But I will appreciate whatever insight they can provide as to what's going on, if the information is to be trusted. Some info is better than none. I hate being in the dark as we currently are.
