Deep Down Inc. and/or those in the company have been
involved in umbilical terminations since 1988. Our founder developed the termination system used by Multiflex for armored thermo plastic umbilicals when at Multiflex. The very first Steel tube umbilical in the Gulf on the Shell Popeye project with a Nexan (then Alcatel) umbilical.

While also at Kvaerner, special terminations were designed and built for the specialized KOP Mobile Green Canyon 60 and the Agip 112 & 157 umbilicals.

At Deep Down Inc. we are still making our own installation friendly umbilical terminations and qualify each new design on our own 50-ton test bed.

These projects include:

Shell King Stab terminations to KOS Cobra on one end and Vetco stab & hingover on the other end
Shell Tahoe 2 re-termination pots
Kerr McGee Navajo - of OMUK steel tube umbilical to KOP UTA
BHP Boris 1 - to OMUK steel tube umbilical
BK King West - Duco umbliicals to OIE UTAs and DDI compliant Splice
Cameron Erha - Infield umbilicals

DDI is the only company we know of which can terminate anyones umbilicals with the same DDI termination system.
