OT reply. Several in my family are allergic to thimerasol. If we take the flu vaccine which contains that preservative we get just as sick as having the real flu.

My family doctor and pharmacist have adamantly told me to only take the newer flu vaccine which does not contain it.

It may sound like bs, but it is true. The old Bausch and laumb contact solution used to kill my eyes until the newer solutions came out in the late 80s.

So while I am a strong supporter of vaccinations, I do not like mercury based preservatives.
