How does this not make sense

Why should someone tie up there money on a dead position

When they can buy it when it starts to move

It makes all the sense on the world

For example I had 8000 shares I sold all but 3000 shares

I kept 3000 so it’s not in my portfolio to watch

Once I see it start moving up I’ll buy more

Could take a week or a month or 6 months

Why tie up money on a dead position
