Gilead has about $32B cash in the bank and $87B MC (give or take). They can throw some weight even after their recent $5B acquisition of Forty Seven.
Here's a list of Gilead acquisitions. Some of the acquired companies, or their products, never say the light of day again....
If anyone is interested in reading about a company that not only buys up little companies to increase its product arsenal - see links below. They also buy up little companies that could be potential market competitors and then just kill them and their product...slowly....to never see the light of day.
