Sizzl, I think your assessment is mostly on the money. The unfortunate side-effect of capitalism is institutionalized greed. Any of the big, established institutions (public or private) not only have the inherent desire to protect their interests, but the economic and political system that's greased to aid them as well.
That said, there are no absolutes, meaning, am sure there some good people in the FDA, our government, and Big Pharma. However, I'd be surprised if they are a majority. This whole pandemic is a litmus test for the American system. Has the flame of righteous government "for the people" built into our system by our founding fathers been fully extinguished by greed?
If Leronlimab test results are very postive and the drug gets approved, I think there is still hope we haven't lost the country to special interests. If on the other hand the results are strong and we get kicked down the road some more, then the game is obviously rigged in the US it may be too late to save things.
American lives being in the balance is about the only thing that can force greedy politicians and CEO's to put their interests aside at this point and do the right thing. Is the country still capable of it? Guess we're about to find out.

I REPEAT the FDA for the most part, gives two Shits less about the people they are supposed to be protecting! NP is only trying to grease the wheels when he shines a positive light on them, truth be known he probably feels the same way I and many others on this board feel about the process for approval... There are two sets of rules, the Golden rule (He who has the gold creates the rule) and the other set of rules smaller companies have to follow.
