It seems pathological sociopaths as Trump and Bolsonaro, and so many of those perhaps who support
them, have rolled over to the virus and are taking the position "all those other lives don't matter to me."

The very religious among so many of their supporters likely believe they
have a better life to go to after death, so what the fuck, who cares.

I'm guessing at least their subconscious says that to them though they don't understand it themselves.
