Putting aside Trump's abject virus-connected failure many will have realized that Trump was
never really a populist president. He only pretends to be populist when he is campaigning.
Give up hope? Or believe, as Krugman does, that in people there is enough redemptive energy to
justify not giving up hope that the road to oligarchy we are on will not, in the future, be corrected.
