hookrider, I reckon it's fair to say it's not much more than just an aged, some see it as catchy, buzzword to describe one who is
aware of issues around social and racial justice, issues as you are. And active in bringing injustice to light, as you do every day.

Like so many words, as 'politically correct' e.g., it's used and abused by some on both sides of the political spectrum.

Aware and active is close enough for us ordinary dudes. lol

Think of all the ways you have described Trump over the years, you have been
saying Trump is as far from "woke" as he is from a normal person's sense of reality.
