Unfortunately Biogen will probably get approval for such a drug.
As for us, this next trial to launch in the next 8-10 weeks will be make or break. We've got the non memantine and the dose down. Now that we're targeting the part of the AD population that isn't so severe that the drug could actually benefit there really will be little wiggle room. 6 months should take care of most of the placebo effect and if bryostatin indeed regrows or repairs synapses then doubling the trial length should prove or disprove the theory. The 90 day memantine washout period could potentially be the key. If not, it should hopefully remove it as a variable. JMHO
